
Crossing over Lawrence Street on Botanical Avenue, there are more elaborate four-family flats, replate with turrets and false roofs.


One thing that is notable about Shaw is that severe lack of demolition, and it’s surprising to see anything built after 1930, but we do spot a little bungalow below built after World War II.





Finally, we spot a really fully stand-alone single family house, though I strongly suspect the front porch, or at least the columns are not original. The builder surely bought several lots and combined them, building the house in the middle of them.




Tan brick houses such as the on below, more akin to the Central West End, are rare, but here one appears.



Then we reach the corner with South 39th Street.
