
Maine Avenue east out of downtown Quincy is lined with a stunning host of all the major styles of Nineteenth Century architecture. There’s Italianate and Second Empire hybrids, like in St. Louis, pure Italianate and Second Empire, Romanesque Revival and a some stunning Queen Anne, as well. It was rumored to be one of the best streets in America, and it really is.
